Hey up! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am going to be on Channel 4 tomorrow night!

My new music video for ‘Rise’ (on the Mark My Words album available here) will be featured as part of the Random Acts series on Channel 4, Tuesday 26th June, at 11.05pm. Please please please please please pleeeease watch it and encourage all your friends to watch it and (if you’re a really nice person) share this page around a bit so hopefully it will be seen by as many people as possible.

Huge, huge thanks to directors Chris Shepherd and Rod Main for their hard work in making the video so powerful. The photo above is taken from the set in Anfield in Liverpool.

Also I am very pleased to announce the following…

Thanks very much for all your lovely requests to see if I am returning to Greenbelt. I can now announce that I will be playing again this year and can’t wait to come back after such a great response in 2011. Thanks also to Greenbelt for asking me! I’m also really excited to be joining the line-up for Off the Tracks Summer Festival in Castle Donnington. All this to come after Latitude, Tolpuddle and Summer Sundae festivals make for what looks to be an exciting summer.

The shrewd among you will already have seen on Mr Bragg’s website that he has very kindly asked me to appear at his September show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. The show is a celebration of the legendary Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday, and I will be supporting and hopefully doing my best to keep a bit of Woody’s spirit alive. To say I am honoured to be asked is quite the understatement. Tickets are on sale from here, and keep an eye out in the Independent soon for me talking a bit about the gig.

Check out the Gigs page for more announcements, and as always thanks for the support! I apologise in advance if you follow me on Twitter or are friends with me on Facebook, because I will be prattling on about the Channel 4 gig a lot over the next 24 hours (and probably badgering you to as well!)
